Neighborhood

Lowena is situated on a small peninsular - Rogues Point - on the less developed, more rugged, North side of Tortola. It is surrounded by sea on three sides with spectacular views along the coast on every side. It is a short walk from Rogues Bay a spectacular unspoiled sandy cove. In the winter months the waves can be very powerful so if you are not a strong swimmer or surfer you need to exercise caution at times in the summer it remains mostly calm. There is a small community of houses in the area and even though it feels far from the madding crowd it is actually only a couple of miles from the main town, Roadtown on the South side of Tortola.

Guest Access

The house has its own entrance and is completely separate from the owners house nearby. it is quite private and not overlooked by any other houses.

Amazing view and peaceful spot. Listening the waves crashing on the rock cliffs in the evening was a highlight. We took a gamble traveling to Tortola at the tail end of hurricane season and we were rewarded with an almost private beach in Rogues Bay. Our Host, Ben, was very friendly and helpful.

It was great staying at this house. The location was amazing, the views, distance from the beach, and house amenities. Ben was very responsive and prepped us well for hurricane Erin that came through right after we arrived. I do agree with others in their reviews that a 4x4 is recommend due to the steep roads.

We absolutely loved our stay here and plan to visit again. Pros: The house is clean and cozy and stylish, the views are to die for. Absolutely gorgeous views. Lots of nice outdoor seating. Nice propane grill. Big gorgeous bedroom with high ceilings. Gorgeous view from bathroom too. Ben is a really friendly guy and his sweet dogs came to visit us a few times and joined us to the beach, very sweet friendly dogs. Very nice decent size kitchen. Washer and dryer provided. Lots of kitchen amenities and seasonings. Cons: The shower water pressure is a little weak but not a big deal, when we were there we were powered by the main houses solar so the hot tub was down, since the bottom of the house has an open air layout(which can be closed) roaches and lizards and mosquitoes can get inside so keep that in mind. TV had streaks in screen(could use a newer one but once again no big deal l I highly recommend this place and will hopefully return in the future.

What an incredible villa! And Rogues Bay is a hidden gem to hangout at. Ben had the place ready to hang when we arrived, including reggae vibes. I highly recommend staying here.

We had the best stay at this charming cottage. The location was perfect, private and peaceful, with stunning views and just a short walk to the beach. The cottage itself was cozy with a rustic, antique feel, surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers that added to the relaxing atmosphere. We especially loved the jacuzzi, which was a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The bed was very comfortable, and overall the space felt ideal for nature lovers looking for a serene getaway.

A rental car is recommended as the terrain is quite steep for walking and taxis are not easily available unless you prearrange one though it is easy to get rides here if you want to hitch. If you are into hiking there are spectacular trails along the North side
